“If you are looking for baseball specific personal training our family cannot say enough good things about Josh Walinski at MSF performance. Josh has been working with our 13 yr old, H, for 2 years and we have had a truly transformative experience. Josh not only trains his body in a comprehensive and targeted way, specifically relevant to baseball players, but also works on the mental side of what is essentially a game of failure. (In no other sport can you fail 70% of the time and be a hall-of-famer.)

Josh has transformed our son. Of course there are lots of natural changes that occur from 11-13, but Josh has carefully and thoughtfully shepherded his growth. H went from among the slowest players on his team (8 steals last season) to a base stealing machine. (50+ stolen bases and leading the team in triples.) That’s not just normal development, it’s the hard work of both H and Josh.

H is a pitcher and Josh has made his whole body stronger. With increased velocity, flexibility, and stamina, Josh has turned H into a force on the mound. Even though he’s thrown close to 900 pitches this season, he is pain free and only improving week to week due to Josh’s close monitoring of his workload and stress. (Last weekend 6 IP, 15K, 2H, 0BB) Power at the plate has gone up too, 30+ XBH and an EV jump from 74 to 89.

Josh focuses on the whole person. He is extremely knowledgeable about nutrition and has motivated H to take care of his body with food, hydration, and sleep. H is only 13 and already understands the importance of not only what you eat but also doing the important recovery and flexibility homework Josh assigns that is tailored to what his growing body needs for baseball.
